Jordin moved to Alaska as a teen and immediately fell in love with the state. She graduated from Chugiak High School and went on to obtain her registered nurse and then advanced family nurse practitioner degrees here locally at UAA. She continues to appreciate the great Alaskan outdoors living in Anchorage with her three children and husband. Together, in their time off, they enjoy hiking, snowboarding, skiing, and mountain biking.
At Premier Vein patients will first see nurse practitioner Jordin Thompson at an initial consultation. At this visit, veins will be visually assessed and symptoms discussed. If appropriate, patients will then be referred for a specialized venous reflux ultrasound to be done at any one of our three Imaging Associates locations. The ultrasound will be read by one of our board certified interventional radiologists and recommendations for treatment made. Results and recommendations are discussed in detail at a follow up appointment before any procedures are scheduled. Our prior authorization team will then ensure all services are approved through insurance so there are no surprises for the patient. Following treatment Jordin will evaluate the patient to ensure proper healing and an excellent result.
